Paint colors can look completely different in your home than they do on a swatch. Before making a final decision, consider the lighting, surrounding finishes, and how the color changes throughout the day.

A few things we recommend:

  • Always test the color in the actual space. A small swatch can only tell you so much. Larger samples give you a better idea of how the color will really feel.
  • Check it at different times of day. Natural morning light, afternoon sun, and interior lighting can all change how a color appears.
  • Consider what’s staying. Flooring, countertops, cabinets, trim, furniture, and exterior materials all influence how a new color works within the space.
  • For exteriors, think beyond the color itself. Colorado’s strong sun exposure can affect how colors appear outdoors, and HOA requirements may also influence your options.

When there’s uncertainty, we’d rather slow the decision down than rush it. Our team can apply samples to the actual surface so you can see the color in your space before the full project begins.
